Tax and service charge

1. Go to Settings › Tax & service.
2. Set: - Service charge %: leave at 0 if you don't add one. - Tax name: for example GST. - Tax rate %: for example 10. - Tax applies to service charge: turn on if tax should be charged on the service charge too.
3. Tap Save settings.

Product tax options

Not every product is taxed the same way, for example GST-free food. Product tax options are the choices you can give each product.

1. Tap Add tax option and give it a name, for example GST-free.
2. Tick Tax if tax applies, and Service if the service charge applies.
3. Optional: enter the Xero tax code in the Xero box.
4. Tap Save on that row.

Then choose the option on each product. See Products.
